Sun 07 May Advanced CSR Skills course (National Shooting Centre (NSC), Bisley)
The Advanced CSR Skills Course is a practical coaching course designed to support existing CSR competitors to improve their positional shooting techniques ahead of the 148th Imperial Meeting.

The emphasis of the course will be on the Application of Fire in prone, sitting, kneeling/squatting and standing positions. Training will be measured through test Practices, including the Urban Match shot under match conditions. Dry Training will be conducted as part of background activity to include match preparation, wind reading, sight setting, kit and equipment, mental approach.

RCO Course (National Shooting Centre (NSC), Bisley)
The NRA Range Conducting Officer Course, recognised by the Ministry of Defence, qualifies civilians to conduct live firing on military ranges. Civilian clubs require one or more qualified NRA Range Conducting Officers before they can book a military range. The NRA RCO qualification is also promoted as "best practice" for all clubs that shoot at Bisley.

The NRA RCO course covers Gallery, Limited Danger Area (LDA), No Danger Area (NDA) and Barrack Ranges, in line with current MoD requirements. The course also includes small-bore Indoor Ranges by agreement with the NSRA. (Note: NSRA RCO courses are available that only shoot on small-bore ranges.)

Each NRA RCO course consists of a number of standard lectures and assessments. These include written and oral tests, and on-range practical assessments for full-bore rifle and gallery rifle.

The following criteria will apply to all candidates:
-The applicant must be a full adult member of a Home Office Approved Club
-The applicant must have at least 2 years adult experience of relevant shooting disciplines and hold a current shooters certificate of competence.
-Applicants must have acquired at least 6 months experience of working under the supervision of a qualified NRA RCO as a range/safety assistant at their club.

    NRA TR Basic Skills Development Course - 2 days (National Shooting Centre (NSC), Bisley)

    The Target Rifle (TR) Basic Skills Development Course will provide the fundamental skills for taking part in TR events and competitions, and will include individual coaching, wind reading and the essentials of team shooting.

    The course is open to all NRA members including those who do not currently hold an FAC or possess the appropriate firearm, but have successfully completed the required probationary course. Non NRA members can attend providing they possess the appropriate firearm and pay the additional course fee.

    The course is held over two days and will involve both classroom and practical range work.

    This course is being run in conjunction with the Bisley clubs and the location for the course will be the London & Middlesex Rifle Association (LMRA) on Bisley Camp.

    Sat 18 Nov NRA/MLAGB RCO Endorsement Course (National Shooting Centre (NSC), Bisley)

    This course is not designed to teach about muzzle loading, however the training will cover range management and all areas required to enable current NRA RCOs to add muzzle loading and black powder to their qualification.

    Attendees are expected to have a good knowledge of all muzzle loading disciplines. The course will involve both classroom and practical range work.

    Sun 19 Nov NRA Black Powder/Muzzle Loading Certification Course (National Shooting Centre (NSC), Bisley)
    The Black Powder (BP) Course will provide training in the safe and competent use of Black Powder/Muzzle Loading Firearms (ie Percussion Pistols, Black Powder Revolvers, Musket and Muzzle Loading Rifles). The course is open to all NRA members including those who do not currently hold an FAC, possess the appropriate firearm or hold the relevant disciplines on their Shooter Certification Card (SCC).

    The course will involve both classroom and practical range work with expert coaching from national and international level shooters. Attendees will be assessed over the course of the day to add Muzzle Loading Pistol & Rifle to their NRA Shooter Certification Card, allowing them to hire Black Powder kits from the NRA Armoury using black powder substitutes.
